Brain fog, cloudy head

Many people said a low-histamine diet helped: one felt POIS much better after ten days and their brain fog starting to clear, another combined it with 16:8 fasting and low carb and said they improved by 90%, and some also used antihistamines, cromolyn or quercetin. Four people said a ketogenic or low-carb high-fat diet helped. One ate almost no carbs for two weeks, getting energy from olive and coconut oil, and said brain fog, fatigue, sinus and skin problems were gone; another said it brought mental clarity and energy. One also advised more protein and no carbs, believing carbs swing hormone levels.

Four people said antihistamines helped — one felt much better than they had in a long time, and another used them together with anti-inflammatories. Two others said they did little for brain-related symptoms such as brain fog, heavy mental tiredness and low mood. Most didn't name the drug or dose. Four people said coffee or caffeine gave temporary relief from brain fog, fatigue, blackouts and body aches; one felt almost normal for about 2 hours before it wore off, and another noted it makes them more anxious. One other person said a big morning cup of black coffee made their symptoms worse.

Most reports were positive: one person said CBD was part of a combination that cut their symptoms by about 80%, from 5 days to 24–36 hours; another felt relaxed 15–30 minutes after two drops of full-spectrum oil under the tongue; another said it helped headache and brain fog and, used before and after orgasm, left them nearly free of POIS.
